Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records across the organization.
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Develop, set, and monitor operating budgets in collaboration with department heads.
- Provide timely and strategic financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure the organization’s liquidity and financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
- Oversee accounting operations, financial systems, and internal controls to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Evaluate and manage investments, cost-reduction opportunities, and potential mergers and acquisitions.
- Present financial results, forecasts, and performance metrics to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with other executives to support long-term business growth and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and manage business risks, insurance requirements, and capital needs.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise the finance and accounting teams, providing leadership, mentoring, and performance management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, financial best practices, and regulatory developments.
Required Skills
Skills and Abilities
- CPA designation or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial management experience, including leadership in a CFO or senior financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, corporate finance, and financial regulations.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated success in leading financial operations within a growing organization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency with financial management and ERP systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other executives and departments.
- High level of integrity, ethics, and discretion in managing sensitive information
